Seat build

I've built a couple of things out of Bamboo such as a blow dart, and a spear to hunt , but never a tail section for a Custom. This guy built one one strand of bamboo at a time, laminating, …I've no doubt that he won't have a problem with strength as bamboo is the equivalent of natures carbon fibre.

We've been brainstorming a few things before we jump into the teardown, among them were*Wait for the new Carb Boots and Air filters to come in so we could start it up to make sure everything is running …*Work out whether we needed to purchase new clip-ons or use the existing hi-rise ones lower on the forks under the tripple.*Work out where we were going to install the battery.

We finally got our seat finished this week and we're extremely happy with how it turned out. Starting off as a fibreglass mould it's come up a treat with black leather and about 10mm of foam.

Apart from choppers and bobbers, when you see a really nice build it's the tank and tail that stand out as the key element for obvious reasons. Besides being a part of the bikes ergonomics it gives the bike it's …There are a number of directions you can go with a tail section.

So we've spent a lot of time on the seat getting it smooth and true. Started out with some sanding, then some filler, then some more sanding, then some more filler, repeat x 20.
